Slawomir “Slawek” Roszak
Dancer, coach, choreographer, adjudicator
Slawek stepped onto his first ballroom competition floor in 1996, training in Poland at Alter Dance Studio, “Słońce” in Poznań and “Gemar” in Wrocław. In 2010 he came to the United States to compete, and he danced professionally in both American and International styles until he retired from competition in 2018.
He still coaches, choreographs and judges, and he is a certified adjudicator in all four ballroom styles.
In 2018 he also founded Skyllamas Productions, where he directs commercials, music videos and shows. The two worlds meet often: movement is at the heart of how he films.

Denise Sobiewski
Dancer, coach, choreographer, adjudicator
Denise grew up in dance: jazz and ballet, years of gymnastics, then ballet training with the American Ballet Company in Florida. She found ballroom at Arthur Murray and taught there for nine years while earning a business degree with honors from the University of Miami.
She specializes in American Smooth and Rhythm, is an NDCA certified adjudicator and holds a Fellow in International Ballroom from the Terpsichore organization. She teaches dancers at every level, from a couple’s first steps to competitors polishing a final.
At Skyllamas she is co-owner and manager, and she has built marketing for luxury ballroom dress brands.
Together
Two teachers, one plan for you.
Take lessons with Slawek, with Denise, or with both. Couples often book a lesson with each of them: the lead and the follow each get a coach who dances that part at a professional level.
